Merced is served locally by two regional airports and is about two hours away from several major international airports. Oakland is the most common choice. Fresno is more convenient at one hour away, but it can be harder to find flights. Most convenient is Merced airport, which has regular flights to Los Angeles:
Merced Regional Airport. 20 minutes from campus. Flights available to and from LAX via boutique air.

Modesto City-County Airport (39 miles, 44 minutes)
The most convenient way to get from an airport to Merced to rent a car and drive. Amtrak trains and Greyhound bus are also available but depending on which airport you use it can be tricky to get to the station and in some cases a few transfers are required.
For a standard hotel we recommend the Courtyard by Marriott. Conference rates may be available.
The Bear Creek Inn is a nice bed and breakfast.
Other area hotels include Holiday Inn Express and Quality Inn.
There is no shuttle, so you will have to drive. Parking information will be posted here soon.
